Martin has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning as a Contractor’s Quantity Surveyor and later transitioning into Project Management. His corporate experience encompasses projects at the V&A Museum, the British Museum, the Bank of England, and the Stock Exchange.

In 2013, Martin founded Helpful Property Group, utilising his extensive construction expertise to provide hands-on support to smaller developers and property investors in their projects. He has subsequently overseen over 500 small to medium-sized refurbishment and conversion projects, many of which involved complexities such as listed building restrictions, security constraints, and occupied site challenges.

This work revealed a growing demand for training and mentoring in the sector, and in 2016, Martin launched Refurbishment Mastery. Offering a variety of support options, he his proven processes help clients avoid expensive errors and instead generate more profit with less stress and in less time.

In his spare time, Martin runs a successful youth marching band with his wife and business partner, Sarah and plays tuba.
